about

“By listening to the CD I was immediately in- trigued by the simplicity and subtlety of the music. Especially in these times where often only the spectacular seems to be important, the musicians decided upon a courageous and absolutely necessary artistic decision.

Spare and economic improvisations, lyrical interpretations and melodic gravity allow the listener to discover every time something new.

The challenge of expressing something complex in a potential simplicity is met here very successfully. The interplay and improvisations come out of a natural flow and appear never arranged in their development.

Many of the tunes of the CD are dedicated to well-known composers and musicians whose specific musical languages and ‘trademarks’ are very well captured in Uwe ́s and Ben ́s compositions.

Bridget, Uwe, Ben and Michael achieved with this recording something special and musically sustainable. Bravo! This CD will certainly spin regularly in my CD-Player.”

Cheers,
 Peter Weniger, Saxophonist & Composer
